And it is done. Finally.

This little comic was made traditionally, on cheap 180g paper using pencils and blending stumps and a little bit of photoshop for cleaning up and other small touches.
Yeah... It was fun and nightmarishly horrible at the same time, I honestly loved every minute of the process (well this comes after finishing the damn thing) and if you want to find out more about it, you can check out my awkwardly put together production blog that was mandatory for the brief, over here. 5 seconds of pleasure

Hello dear boys and girls.
Here's a 5 seconds animation i'm working on. Just a wee scene from a school project from last semester. Fairly simple, nothing fancy. The cool thing about it is that i'm doing it entirely in photoshop, and this is a new thing for me. So without further ado, here's a couple of examples of key frames overlayed, and the same keys timed, in the form of a gif.

some inbetweened some of the first keys. unfortunately i kinda screwed up the timing.

**Extra late Edit**

So after EONS of nonsense I managed to finish the last.

Now, for some COLOR! Yaaaaaaay!

La mer.

Hello guys.
Not much to say... here's another commission that I've been requested. This one was really fun to do, but the inking was quite a pain in the butt.

Kinoman and the dead pixel

Hello there kids!

I've been trying to work on a little story for my friends at Kinofest(<---click me for the link).

I just finished the first page and I thought it would be a great teaser for the rest of it.
The story picks up where another old story of my ended. Kinoman went on a quest to find the pixel of power and found himself screwing up the order of their universe during that process.
Thus, the old pervy sage tries to summon him with some crazy-ass-magic to fix up the new peril threatening their world.

(Click on the image to enlarge. The image...obviously)
Well, see you all soon.

Hello there
I'm here with the last of the commissions I was talking about.
The lucky finalist is The Owl.

In case anybody's wondering why that owl looks so weird, I prepared myself with a pretty solid answer: "because I wanted it to look that weird..." .
The thing is, I was trying to exaggerate the proportions of the owl by increasing the size of the neck and wings, making it's head smaller but that turned out pretty freakishly weird, thus I modified a bit the size of the head leaving me with something that looked ok. It looked ok in pencil.... in pencil...

I used the same technique as the other two, and I must say, it was really fun redesigning this one.

Some old concepts for an old project,  that I never got to post.

Wednesday, July 3, 2013

Hello once again.

As I was saying last time I started work on a couple of commissions. The second lucky bookmark that received a facelift was the "Magic" bookmark.

And here it is.

Same old technique. I used the brush more though, but I can't say I'm happy with the result.

Anyway, until next time,
